Our climate strategy is aligned with India’s decarbonisation and energy goals to ensure a sustainable and climate-resilient future. We have adopted a climate-risk aligned approach to manage carbon footprint through energy efficiency, clean energy solutions for customers, investments in low carbon innovative technologies, solarisation in operations, etc. We prioritise resource efficiency, circular practices and biodiversity conservation & ecosystem restoration for positive environmental impact.

GHG ProtocolOur ESG commitment and initiatives are guided by a robust framework of corporate governance and sustainability policies. Employee awareness is built through mandatory induction, regular training and refresher programmes and various awareness campaigns. At ATGL, incentives of the leadership and employees are closely aligned with ESG and climate-related performance, ensuring accountability from the boardroom to the frontline. The incentives of the Board, CEO, CSO, CFO and CRO are directly linked to ESG and climate excellence through a remuneration framework recommended by the Nomination and the Remuneration Committee.
The incentives are linked to the achievement of sustainability targets, improvement in ESG ratings, and regulatory compliance. Environmental and climate-related performance KPIs include reduction in GHG emission & emission intensity, solarisation, achieving Zero Waste to Landfill certification for our sites, tree plantations, decarbonisation of fleet, etc.
Health and Safety KPIs are included in the Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) and performance evaluation of the concerned executives, with 15% of total KRA weightage directly linked to their HSE performance.
‘Maadhyam’, the Adani Group’s online reward scheme, aims to stimulate action and innovation at the grassroots level. Employees are incentivised to contribute impactful ideas on sustainability and earn implementation rewards between ₹ 5,000 and ₹ 50,000, fostering participation.
